One can gauge his popularity from the world-wide upsurge of expressions of protest against his imprisonment and solidarity with him, pouring in for the last ten days.

Witchhunt of Professors and intellectuals continues. Both Vijayan and Ranjan have made important intellectual contributions to anti-caste and democratic thought.
P.K. Vijayan and Rakesh Ranjan were summoned for interrogation by the NIA in connection to the Bhima Koregaon case. The summon, which was dated August 13, has asked him to appear at the NIA headquarters in New Delhi on August 14. Vijayan and Ranjan are both professors at Delhi University and have been teaching for years. They have made important intellectual contributions to anti-caste and democratic thought.

The police said the students were defying prohibitory orders and physical distancing norms.
The Delhi Police on Wednesday booked six students for protesting against the arrest of Delhi University professor MT Hany Babu and defying prohibitory orders, PTI reported. Babu was arrested by the National Investigation Agency on July 28 in connection with the Bhima Koregaon case. Babu is an associate professor of English at Delhi University and a well-known anti-caste activist.
